4:00 pm: Everyone gathered outside the chapel.
4:05 pm: We loaded up and left.
4:30 pm: We arrived at the KOA Kampsite.

NOT!

I MEAN, LIKE SINCE WHEN DO MIRACLES HAPPEN?

Okay, for real this time.

4:00 pm: Nobody sits on the steps of the chapel.
4:15 pm: A lonely girl sits on the steps of the chapel.
4:30 pm: Two lonely people sit outside the steps of the chapel.
5:00 pm: Two lonely people stop siting outside the steps of the chapel.
5:15 pm: Two lonely people go pick up #3.
5:30 pm: They leave - they are one hour behind schedule.
They tried to take pictures. As you can see, they were unsuccessful.

Okay. So we arrived at Oklahoma Choctaw Rd KOA Camp at about 6:30 ish. And cooked dinner!! Mmmmm...

By we, I mean they. Not me. I don't cook.
Steamboat. *burp Burp BURP*

It was a dinner cum movie thing...

Movie #1 was WALL-e!! (Pronounced: wo-aaa-leeee)
Movie #2 was Journey to the Centre of the Earth - 3D version!

After that we chilled...bathed...interneted (I totally made that word up)...argued about where to sleep...and finally...slept.

Saturday. November 22, 2008

Breakfast at 9 am.

Char Siew Pau!!! Translation: BBQ Pork Bun.

Soft/Half boiled eggs.

Happy people.

After breakfast...and chilling some more, we got down to business. Discussing our vision statement, goals, objectives, membership and the Spring 09 schedule for IDF. Hard core stuff. =P

Then we camwhored!!!!

[insert group picture from alice's camera]

12:30 pm: Elisha took out his iPhone and got directions back to OKC.

1:20 pm: we stopped for lunch! Eat again!?!?!?!

2:00 pm: We arrived back on campus: happy, refreshed and fatter. *Burps again*

Praise God for a great time together. We really really REALLY hope to get more people to join us next time. It was a blast.

OCU IDF Fall 2008 Camp

Posted by OCU IDF

Dear Friends of IDF,

I am excited to inform you that our IDF Fall 2008 is actually happening! By God's grace, although I had some initial problems trying to make a reservation for Lake Thunderbird but when one door closes, another opens. It is all thanks to my Bro. Timothy who was eager to help IDF make this camp possible. I was personally disappointed earlier this week when I heard that there was a problem with the reservation but all is good now.

And now..to the meat of things:

Attached with this email is the IDF Fall 2008 Retreat Packing List and Schedule. Please read the packing list if you are making plans to attend our camp.

Please kindly read the IDF Waiver and Print and Sign it if you can. I will make some copies of it on that day as well. But if you want to do that for me, that would be great!

We will meet at the OCU Chapel at 4.00pm and leave by 4.30pm and we will be on-time.

I am estimating that we will arrive by 5.00pm at the KOA campsite. It's not very far away from the OCU Campus.

You are still welcomed to attend and it is not too late to join us. But if you do want to join us and bring a friend please contact Elisha at 405-315-3936 by 1.00pm Friday. If you could call me earlier that would be great! This is so that I can estimate the amount of food that I will purchase for the camp.

The campsite provides a few beds, pillows, a kitchen, free wireless internet access, restrooms with heated shower, rooms with central heating.

Please confirm by calling me if you are already attending our camp. You may send an email to confirm as well. But I'd like to hear from you if you're coming, just to be sure.

All your meals and transportation will be taken care off. Just plan to attend.

If you intend to drive, your gas for travelling will be reimbursed(Up to $10-$15) if you intend to transport at least one IDF member.

P.S, IDF Intends to feed you well. We will be purchasing food that will not only make you healthy and strong but it'll be great tasting. If you have any dietary issues that needs immediate attention, please contact Elisha at 405-315-3936. If you want something to be purchased on your behalf, a snack or two, please contact Elisha as well.

Thank you!
